Sieber resin provides excellent support for the synthesis of protective peptide amides and carboxyl amides. This resin is used for the preparation of amides, cyanodiaryl compounds, and glycopeptides. Under standard conditions, carboxylic acids can be coupled with deprotected Sieber resin. 1% trifluoroacetic acid affects cleavage. Cleavage is carried out in dichloromethane using 1% trifluoroacetic acid.
